Self Cleaning Cat Litter Box

A self cleaning cat litter box can solve the biggest problem faced by cat owners: dealing with a messy cat litter box.  Now you can choose from many of the different  self cleaning cat littler boxes available...

"What's that smell?" My husband always asks when he walks in the house each and every evening. The response is always the same. "It's the self cleaning cat litter box." I reply, rolling my eyes. He never says another word, simply crinkles up his nose and walks up the foyer stairs. I always do the exact same thing, turn my head and take a long sniff to see if I can smell anything. I never can. I think he's just crazy. I married a man who was never a cat lover, but yet, I find him snuggling with them every morning next to me in bed. I simply think that my husband's sense of smell is more sensitive to odors, particularly the self cleaning cat litter box. I'm not sure what else I can possibly do. I mean, a cat litter box can only smell so good, right?

I change the litter every couple of days. Every evening, I scoop out anything that needs to be scooped out. I've even put the self cleaning cat litter box in a smaller confined room so that perhaps the odors would be contained. I use the air fresheners and room deodorizers. To me, the offensive odors are covered up. To my husband, the smell is always present and nothing more than a nuisance. We have two cats and they are both very picky about their cat litter box. I've tried the boxes that have the roof and are closed in, but they refused to use them. Instead, they would actually relieve themselves next to the litter box, perhaps to spite me. I had considered the self cleaning cat litter boxes that guarantee less work and less odors, but they are just out of my price range and I hated to admit that I am that lazy. Which, I am.

My best friend splurged and got this cat litter box that's called the Catbox. It's really nice and very easy to maintain. It actually looks like a nice piece of furniture, but with a hole in it for the cats to enter and exit. She paid almost $200 for it, but she has a really nice house and hates to see a self cleaning cat litter box sitting around. For her, this invention was nothing short of pure genius. My husband saw it once and commented on its practicality for at least a week. After I told him the cost, he stopped making comments. However, each and every evening when I hear the same question, I have to stop and wonder if $200 for a fancy self cleaning cat litter box just may be worthwhile afterall.
